“We are going back to Palestine” – marchers cross into Palestine from the Golan Heights

Editor’s Note: Over night (15 May 2011) there have been dramatic reports of an uprising by Palestinians from within and from the borders of Palestine.

One of the most dramatic was the Palestinian march from Syria breaking through the Golan Heights fence into Palestine (shown below). Equally dramatic were marches from Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan.Go to Article

The US military and their political supporters in the Australian government and defence forces are claiming that it is the surge in troop numbers that has ‘pacified’ the country.

The evidence suggests otherwise.

After US president Bush’s visit to Palestine in in January 2008 Israel cut power and fuel in its siege of the Gaza strip yet again .

Given the points raised below in the email about Israel’s cutting power and fuel in its siege of the Gaza strip in Palestine, I think that the Stop the War Collective (STWC) in Brisbane should be asked to address what is happening in Palestine.
