It is charges of this nature that justified the proscription of Palestine Action, its declaration as a terrorist organization, and the subsequent myriad of charges against ordinary citizens who expressed support for it. After 18 months , the people (via the jury) have had their say on the genocide and the government’s oppression of those who oppose it. The time has come for the UK government to revoke the proscription and enact policies against the Israeli government’s genocide and its corporate supporters so that direct action by citizens is no longer necessary in the pursuit of justice for Palestine.
Of course, the UK government will not revoke the proscription. The depth of the corruption in New Labour is shown by the fact that Peter Mandelson continued in central roles in the government and the party long after the depth of his corruption and corrupt associations was known.
