COMMUNITY NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF WYNNUM, MANLY, TINGALPA, CLEVELAND AND GREATER BRISBANE (MAGAN-DJIN)
Concern about F-35 weapons parts manufacturing in Tingalpa
At the Tingalpa facility of Ferra Engineering, precision components like wing kits for bombs are produced for the international F-35 program. These parts form part of a global supply chain that supports military aircraft currently being used by Israel in armed conflict against Palestine, Lebanon and Iran.
Since October 2023, allegations of serious violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza have been widely documented and debated internationally. Civilian deaths — including those of children — have caused widespread alarm and grief across the world.
Despite political declarations of a “ceasefire,” reports continue to describe ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
The United Nations–mandated Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory — which includes Australian human rights lawyer Chris Sidoti — has accused Israel of war crimes and genocide. Related proceedings are ongoing before the International Court of Justice.
Many residents are therefore asking whether our local community is complicit in this violence through weapons components manufactured here in Tingalpa.
Both State and Federal governments have provided financial support to Ferra Engineering’s operations, including funding from the Queensland Government, and payroll tax concessions. This raises serious questions about the use of public funds and the lack of transparency regarding the ultimate end use of these weapons components.
Residents are asking:
• What oversight exists regarding the end use of these components manufactured in our community?
• What steps are local, state and federal governments taking to ensure that companies operating here are not contributing to violations of international humanitarian law?
• What accountability mechanisms govern the allocation of public funding to Ferra Engineering?
• Why has the local community not been properly informed about weapons-related manufacturing taking place in Tingalpa?
Our community deserves transparency
Residents of Wynnum, Manly, Tingalpa, Cleveland and greater Brisbane believe that communities should be properly informed about military supply chains operating in their neighbourhoods — particularly when public money is involved.
We believe open discussion, transparency and democratic accountability are essential.
If you share these concerns, consider contacting your local representatives and asking the same questions.

Our community has a right to know what is being produced here — and how it is being used.
Join us on Monday 30 March 2026 at a public assembly outside Ferra Engineering on 344 New Cleveland Road Tingalpa to hear more about this weapon’s factory in our midst.
Information, food, refreshments, and music will be available, please bring a camping chair.
Here is a trifold flyer to hand out to the local community.
