Democratic Rights attacked

The Liberal city council has banned Max Chandler-Mather from putting up signs like these. Max is running in the seat of Griffith for the Greens in the 2022 Federal Election. Brisbane City Council has banned his organisation from putting up more than a few signs around the seat of Griffith.

My protest for this undemocratic action is to put up his sign and not to take it down as requested by council.… Go to Article

University gave Joh doctorate after sacking SEQEB workers

In 1985 during the SEQEB dispute, 1005 workers were sacked by the Bjelke-Petersen government and replaced by fewer people on contracted labour. Over the intervening years successive governments have been forced to employ more workers because of the possibility of failure of the electricity grid as happened in Auckland in New Zealand under the manager who recommended that government sack the workers.… Go to Article
