Not a question of religion, it’s support for Palestine

It remains a mystery why Prime Minister Albanese who once claimed to support Palestine, would now support Israel’s genocide of Palestinians by both deed and omission. By deed, for allowing export of weapons to Israel and by omission, for opposing Palestinian statehood.

Government leaves senator no choice but to resign over genocide in Palestine

The Australian government left Fatima Payman no alternative but to resign from the Labor Party in government.

The problem with Labor’s conditional peace process is it leaves the people most affected with little or no say, the Palestinians. The only reason Australian governments support the genocide in Gaza is because they slavishly follow imperialism by the United States that uses Israel as a stationary aircraft carrier in the ‘middle east’. Israel dumped the two-state solution from the outset, and has never supported peace, the Israeli right-wingers, led by Netanyahu, assassinated their only prime minister who sued for peace, Rabin.

I am reminded of the time when the Hawke Labor government forced Senator George Georges from Queensland to resign after it de-registered the Builders Labourers Federation and reneged on its promise to lift the ban on secondary boycotts.

The Australian government’s actions can only encourage more independents to run for parliament.

Albanese, you can’t hide
Albanese was foolish to expel Senator Payman from the Labor Caucus and at the same time claim the senator had not raised her concerns with the Party before supporting Palestinian statehood. That places the PM at odds with Labor Party platform which is to recognise Palestine. Albanese’s own branch supports Senator Payman’s recognition of the Israeli occupation and genocide. There is no point in being in government if Albanese is not going to uphold party principles.

Albanese is not welcome in Magan-djin, he is not welcome anywhere while his government is a slave to the murderous government of the United States fully supporting genocide.

This is what the principled senator had to say:
