Yesterday Lachlan Hurse (Australia Cuba Friendship Society) and I rode from the river to the sea to End the blockade of Cuba!
This is Lachlan’s report:
From Australia to Cuba with Love: Day 11
Today Ian and I rode from Southbank to the Bulimba Creek bikeway, to Murrarie and onto the Gateway Bridge, then back through New Farm to our starting point and home, more than 75 km for each of us. It was a beautiful winter’s day, not a cloud in the sky. We’re chasing the kilometres!
The new economic reforms in Cuba are in my mind, seeing how the Revolution adapts to the demand of the Cuban people in a harsh world where socialism seems such a distant goal for many across the globe. Certainly it is for the Cuban people to decide on their own future. The biggest challenge of all remains: End the U.S. blockade! Let Cuba Live!
The US response today, more sanctions on Cuba. How is this possible ?
Why aren’t other states supporting Cuba ?
