“Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.” Henry David Thoreau in Walden.

The local newspaper the WestEnder reports:
That part of Highgate Hill and West End has changed dramatically over the past few decades. The old Riviera apartments at 5 Dudley Street provided 14 relatively modest two-bedroom homes. The approved redevelopment reduced that to just seven or eight very large luxury apartments with uninterrupted river views, private amenities and multi-million-dollar price tags. The WestEnder.
EDQ Spin
To excuse its bulldozing of the garden at the Kurilpa Commons, EDQ put out this thin veil of lies:
Noting the land has been illegally occupied in recent times, the fencing is a necessary element of returning the site to its owner, including facilitating the delivery of more homes.
While further trespass on the site is prohibited, residents who wish to maintain their involvement in gardening are encouraged to do so through the nearby established community garden in Paradise Street. The Paradise Street community garden is one that is supported and approved by the Brisbane City Council and is only 200m away from the Dudley Street site.

What happens next?
Edq has erected a 4 sale sign at the site currently occupied by two bush turkeys, some frogs, and other birds.
