Iran revelations
I hate the fact that I am becoming a conspiracy theorist. After all, they are the nut-jobs who live in remote places, hoard weapons and cans of food, and ambush unsuspecting police officers when they call. Mounds of lies and misinformation have led me to be sceptical about everything I hear and read.
ASIO chief, Burgess, (what an unfortunate name for a spy) stood before the microphones with Prime Minister Albanese and Foreign minister Wong , stony-faced both, to declare that Australia had been the victim of attacks by a foreign power directed at our Jewish community and conducted by third party criminals on behalf of Iran. My immediate thought was why ? and cui bono?
Immediately after hundreds of thousands of ordinary Australians had taken to the streets to express disapproval of the government’s inaction over, and the opposition’s active support for the Gaza genocide, it appeared to be a curiously felicitous time for the government to release this information. The opposition is in disarray over climate policy and divisions driven by right-wingers who are prepared to blow up the party if they don’t get their way. The only real threat to the government is that they will lose city seats to the Teals and the Greens. Many prominent Greens members have aligned with the Pro- Palestinian movement.
The revelation that Iran, an enemy of Israel and supporter of Palestine is carrying out terrorist operations in Australia is likely (calculated?) to generate second thoughts in the minds of ordinary Australians who have responded to a live streamed genocide by taking to the streets.
I can see no advantage to Iran in launching what have been relatively low-level attacks on Jewish institutions in far away Australia, when many Australian Jews oppose the Zionists and are repulsed by the genocide.
On the other hand, attacks on or near Jewish institutions have been weaponized by Zionists who have achieved great success in having Antisemitism elevated as an evil more serious than racism and in conflating opposition to Zionism with Antisemitism. In doing so they have been able to silence opponents by threats to their livelihoods. I can’t help but think that the main beneficiaries of the revelation are Zionists and a government whose foreign policy is directed from Washington.
A bland declaration does not convince me, Mr. Burgess. I would like to see the evidence.

ASIO has a long list of mistakes and incorrect judgement resulting in innocent people being locked away for years.
How do we know this accusation against Iran is based on evidence rather than a Trump wish list?
Iranian regime are cruel executors of their own people.
On further consideration I remember that terrible attack on cafe in sydney where a young woman lawyer and others were shot amidst bungled rescue. The murderous Iranian fruit loop who carried it out was under surveillance of ASIO!! Some have said that he was a “protected person” under ASIO and they got it terribly wrong.
As memory serves me he was also killed so no trial to reveal all goings on!
No conspiracy theorist here- just people fed a diet of lies who now don’t know what to believe- I don’t!
