I met some members of Ananda Marga at the West End Derby today and at the West End markets yesterday, and they told me about a great fundraising event they’ve organised through AMURT — the Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team — in support of Gaza.
The fundraising dinner is being held at Kurilpa Hall, 174 Boundary Street, West End, on Saturday, 26 September, from 6 pm.
The evening will feature Andy Payne, Al Zayton’s Dabka dance group, led by Sameer Elagata and Rasheed, speakers, and plenty of good cultural entertainment. The Ananda Margis are also putting on a vegan evening meal, which is included in the ticket price.
It’s great to see the local Kurilpa Hall back in the swing of things again, and this is certainly an event worth supporting.
