We don’t need much encouragement to go out on rides in the Palestinian colours!
About a dozen riders experienced a perfect Adelaide Autumn day for a community ride down to Pt Adelaide. Some riders returned via the Greenway cycle path while others continued on to Glenelg and then back home.
As well as the camaraderie and the coffee we had a serious discussion about Israel recommencing the bombing of Gaza and Southern Lebanon after Netanyahu broke the “Ceasefire”. Over 400 Palestinians killed including 190 children. Hardly a “precision campaign”, just more slaughter.
We also noted the convenient fact that by recommencing the hostilities, Netanyahu was able to legally avoid giving evidence in one of his three current trials for corruption, fraud, tax evasion and bribery. The Genocide in Gaza will continue because Israel refuses to initiate ceasefire phase 2 requirements to withdraw from Gaza and because prolonging the war keeps Netanyahu out of prison.
Senator Wong’s and this government’s inadequate and craven public responses to this new humanitarian crisis came in for very harsh criticism.
