YouTube places age restriction on Palestine video

Ten (10) years ago in 2014 I made a short video shot in the Brisbane City Mall showing people protesting children being shot by Israelis in Palestine. The demonstration included adults and children.

According to YouTube, the video had only 60 views during the intervening 10 years . They have now in 2023 referred me to their community standards which state: “YouTube doesn’t allow content that endangers the emotional and physical well-being of minors.”

So, yesterday, YouTube placed an age restriction which means that no one can view the video on independent websites such as WBT. It forces people to click away and go to the YouTube website which brings it more advertising revenue (WBT does not permit ads on its pages). If parents do not wish children to view a video they can use its Safety Mode, to restrict the types of videos children can view.

Here is my video:

During that time I have seen countless videos depicting Israel’s targeted murder of innocent Palestinian children in Gaza and the West Bank. And each year, the murders have reached a new intensity.

This year alone, Israeli forces have killed at least 34 Palestinian children in the West Bank as of August 22, 2023.

Recently in Nabi Saleh on the West Bank Israeli soldiers shot dead a two year old child from the Tamimi family. The video is not age restricted.

If YouTube is serious they should boycott Israeli propaganda and lies.

if YouTube do not want children to be exposed to videos depicting violence in Palestine then they should oppose Israel murdering children.
