Federal court rules against nuclear waste dump

NUCLEAR WASTE DUMP GOOD NEWS!

On the 18th July the Federal Court denied the right of our government to build a national nuclear waste dump at Kimba, First Nation and farmers country in South Australia. The government has spent millions trying to contaminate this land legally. THEY HAVE FAILED.

ACTION Please take a few minutes to email senior Labor politicians calling on them to respect the rights of Barngarla Traditional Owners, to respect the Federal Court’s July 18 decision, and to abandon the plan to impose a national nuclear waste dump on Barngarla country in SA. Labor will soon decide whether to accept or appeal the Federal Court’s July 18 decision, so it’s very important for them to hear from us. https://nuclear.foe.org.au/kimba/ (senior federal ALP politicians) https://nuclear.foe.org.au/kimba-sa/ (senior SA ALP politicians)

If you like you could send congratulations to the Barngarla people at nodumponourcountry@gmail.com

TREATY ON THE PROHIBITION OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS (TPNW)

Signing this treaty that bans all nuclear weapons is under negotiations within the ALP and some unions are pushing for Australia to sign it. It’s an important theme in the upcoming ALP national conference. In your letter to senior federal ALP politicians don’t forget to ask them to support the treaty.
