Israel and the United States continue their bombardment of Lebanon, Palestine, and Iran. We have been here before. US/Israel regimes simultaneously attacked Lebanon, Palestine, and Iraq in 2006. There was popular opposition across the world but unable to stop the carnage. Over a million people died in Iraq, and many babies were born deformed as a result of the use of depleted uranium by the United States.
Opposition to the war of choice against Iran is even more important. Today we must defend democratic rights to organise. The US and Israel have brought us to the brink of global war and economic chaos. We need to organize for peace and justice, not war.
A long time critic of Australian support for Israel had this to say about our national broadcaster:
“Sarah Ferguson (ABC) 7:30 report) is a national disgrace. An international embarrassment. The Iranian Foreign affairs spokesman shredded her facade of balance. She´s a Zionist apologist. Not one word about the Iranian peoples’ unwavering support for justice for Palestine.”
“The (ABC) 7:30 report tonight where (she) interrogated the deputy foreign minister of Iran. A shocking display of partisanship. I don’t watch 7:30 Report as a rule because she is apalling …”
