Remembering Hugo Chavez

AVSN (Australia Venezuela Solidarity Network) in conjunction with Just Peace Qld and supported by ASLA (Australia Solidarity with Latin America) warmly invite you to this forum which looks back at the life and times of Hugo Chávez, 45th President of Venezuela on the tenth anniversary of his death.

We will be reflecting on his legacy and its meaning for Venezuela and the international solidarity movement. After the celebration, please join us for further discussion over dinner.

Highlights:
Screening of the film: CHASING CHÁVEZ, written and produced by Katrina Channells, who will be present to discuss her film.
This film explores Venezuela’s Bolivarian Revolution through the eyes of Coral, an Australian activist, who pursues every possible channel to meet her idol, president Hugo Chavez and to present him with her co-authored book “Voices from Venezuela.”
