This weekend will be a huge weekend for climate change in Australia because of the Summit and because of the massive Peoples Climate Mobilisation events taking place all over the world.
Please help us get as many people to the Summit as possible by calling, texting or emailing a few friends to ask them to come and to tell them why it is so important we act now to build a safe climate future!
If everyone who reads this email does this it will be make a difference! I am getting ready to call some friends of mine as soon as I press send on this email.
Food and Drink
There are plenty of eating options at Gardens Point campus, including a food court, cafés, and bars, and Brisbane city is only a short walk away. Please note Summit registration includes morning and afternoon tea but does not include lunch – you can buy lunch on campus or bring your own.
Things you might need
Please bring a reusable water bottle, pen and paper to write stuff on if you like doing that. If you are going to join the march on Sunday suitable walking shoes and a hat is also recommended.
How to get to the Summit
The Summit will be held in P-Block and Z-block at the Queensland University of Technology’s Gardens Point Campus. See this link for a campus map and the website page ‘getting there’ details.
That is all for now. Have a good week and get excited for the weekend of action awaiting!
