The Australian Green Development Forum is hosting eminent Cuban Professor for their roadshow on April 1st.

Professor Fernando Martirena from Santa Clara University in Cuba will be our special guest for the 2013 AGDF Building Resilience Roadshow. Many AGDF members may remember Fernando from our 2008 “Running on Empty” National Roadshow

Then he inspired Australian audiences with his story of the development of “eco materials” in Cuba responding to economic, environmental and social challenges in Cuba. A United Nations Habitat Award winner, Fernando and his “Eco Sur” group have more recently contributed to the Haiti Reconstruction effort and assisted many communities in the Central America area.
