  1. Ray Bergmann says:

Indeed, both the USA and Israel appear under current leaderships to be both genocidal and self-destructive – suicidal with Samsonist ideological fury to bring the whole world’s house of cards down in Armageddon fantasy! The rising challengers leaf through Sun Tsu’s Art of War to balance resistance with restraint so such destructive forces self-implode without destroying the entire world.

  2. Thanks Ian, quite a lot of topics for Workers Bush Telegraph – where to start nowadays? I thought if our politicians are concerned about the river and the Thank you, Ray. It’s a fair question — if politicians are so concerned about “the river and the sea,” perhaps they should first clarify exactly where Israel’s borders are.
One might ask whether those boundaries are intended to extend beyond the Litani River in Lebanon, even towards the outskirts of Beirut, or across the Golan Heights in Syria. And what of “the sea”? Does that mean only the Dead Sea, or also the Red Sea? Some might even wonder whether more expansive claims are imagined — stretching toward the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf, or across the Mediterranean as far as Cyprus. they might be prepared to address the question of where the hell are Israel’s borders anyway? Maybe Penny Wong or Pauline Hanson could advise Trump and Netanyahu on possible answers to such a tricky question?

    1. Thank you, Ray. It’s a fair question — if politicians are so concerned about “the river and the sea,” perhaps they should first clarify exactly where Israel’s borders are.
One might ask whether those boundaries are intended to extend beyond the Litani River in Lebanon, into Beirut where the israelis are carpet bombing, or across the Golan Heights in Syria.

And what of “the sea”? Does that mean only the Dead Sea, or also the Red Sea?

More expansive claims are imagined by the US government — stretching to the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf, and across the Mediterranean as far as Cyprus. An end to internationalnavigationand trade at the behest of ythe US.

Lord Balfour set in motion a chain of events with the Balfour Declaration that reverberates today over 100 years later.
Issued at the end of Ottoman rule in Palestine, it opened the way for a project that displaced Palestinians.

Under the subsequent British Mandate for Palestine, and later decisions of partition by the United Nations, Palestinians — Arabs, Muslims, Christians, and Jews with deep historical roots in the land — found themselves increasingly marginalised as European migration and occupation took hold.

The emergence of secular Zionism over 100 years represents a fascist death cult in Israel, having committed and still committing mass murder on our screens every day.

The question, then, is not only about history, but about responsibility — and how a just and lasting peace might be achieved.

But first, we must defeat the government of the United States….
