The Great Ride of Return is a global, non-violent, family-friendly grassroots movement uniting communities across more than 95 cities and 35 countries demanding justice, equality and an end to the occupation.
Inspired by the Gaza Sunbirds, participants of all ages gather to cycle peacefully, raise the Palestinian flag, and fund essential support for displaced families and disability rehabilitation. What began as solidarity rides has blossomed into an international campaign that merges the Sunbirds’ commitment to justice and inclusion with a collective call for freedom and peace.
The Big Ride for Palestine-Australia is proudly supporting the Gaza Sunbirds and the Great Ride of Return. On Sunday 29th March we will assemble on the Yeronga Corso in the park adjacent to the Baladi Coffee Bus and ride a 24 km loop of the river, calling into Long Pocket.

12 riders and eight children participated in the solidarity with the Gaza sunbirds great ride of return on the 29th of March 2026 . We raised money for survival packs to be sent into Gaza suffering a genocidal war conditions during a hot war in the region prosecuted by the United States and Israel.
