“I’m not asking for the rest of your life I am asking for 20 days” – Phil Monsour, Justice for Palestine Magan-djin.
Palm Sunday 2025 marked day 554 of a live-streamed genocide, part of Israel’s ongoing settler colonial project in Palestine. Atrocities have been escalating over the past 18 months. There is need for justice. Over 50 mobilizations have proven not to be enough. Now the goal of Justice for Palestine is to elect Remah Naji, a Palestinian Australian, to federal parliament. Remah will hold politicians accountable for their silence and complicity.
How can we best support and empower Remah Naji to become the first Palestinian Australian elected to the (Australian) Parliament and use this historic opportunity?
- Volunteer for the campaign:
- Commit 20 days to help
- Door knock hundreds of houses
- Distribute campaign literature
- Engage at bus stops and stations
- Spread awareness about Palestine and opposing genocide
- Attend upcoming events:
- March on April 26th at midday in Sunnybank
- Participate in fundraisers (Echo and Bounce, film event at Event Cinemas)
- Join the conference at the end of May
- Get organized:
- Sign up on the Justice for Palestine email list
- Follow their social media
- Put your phone number on the sign-up sheet to be contacted for organizing
- Spread the message:
- Talk about Palestine in suburbs
- Raise awareness about the campaign
- Mobilize as many people as possible
The overall goal is to turn this into a massive grassroots movement that can potentially elect Rima and send a powerful message against genocide, using this “rare chance” to directly challenge political complicity.
