We are deeply saddened to hear of Scott Patterson’s passing. Scott was a cherished member of our community and someone we came to know well – a good friend who showed care and dedication in his work and every aspect of his life.

We remember Scott for all his incredible qualities, not least of all his kindness, humour, and the importance and power of his photography in capturing the movement. Scott was unwavering in his solidarity and showed up week-in week-out to stand with the Palestinian community. He is remembered for his staunchness in the face of adversity, and his willingness to stand up to power in defence of this community.
We have been incredibly fortunate to share in Scott’s work and his life, and his absence will be felt by all who have come to consider him a friend. He was an all-around wonderful human being who will be deeply missed by so many.
Scott’s memory will live on through his work and through those of us who were fortunate to know him. May he now rest in peace.
Our thoughts are with Scott’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
For those who knew Scott, his family have shared some words on his instagram account @scottpattphoto: “please enjoy a skinny flat white (made extra hot), a sarspirilla, pat a black cat, or go for a trip to the beach in his honour as those were some of his favourite things.” ❤🕊
