Friday December 13

Driveway Disco Disruption

5:15pm to 6:15pm, 1 William St, Brisbane City [Facebook event link]

In response to Star Casino’s disruption of the Bicentennial Bikeway at Queens Wharf, we plan on taking the party to their driveway.

Bicentennial Bikeway users are invited to take a diversion on Friday evening and gather with us in front of 1 William St before we ride (or walk or jive) along William St across to the Star Casino driveway entrance. This is a big open space that needs “activating”, so we’ll be turning up the disco tunes and encouraging everyone to have a boogie.

5:15pm assemble in front of 1 William Street. Get your glamour on.

5:30pm Safety Dance… (er… briefing) Then ride, walk, or boogie on down William St to Star’s Driveway for a spot of Disco Dancing

Grassroots Action Network

5:30pm at House Conspiracy, 42 Mollison St South Brisbane

The Grassroots Action Network is a weekly gathering of local people and groups committed to organising against the destruction and systemic exploitation of the planet and its peoples.

Join us Tuesdays from 5:30pm onwards for a free feed and to start building towards our collective liberation.

Protest against Boeing

Meet 12 noon at 123 Albert St (cnr Charlotte st), Brisbane City

Boeing makes a killing manufacturing and selling weapons to countries such as Israel, and our government is supporting them to do it.

Join the weekly protests outside the Boeing offices in the city and let them know you will not be complicit in their war crimes.

Protest: No Christmas In Gaza. No Christmas in Bethlehem

Hosted by Justice for Palestine Magan-djin.

Join us in remembering Gaza at Christmas, Friday 20th December at 6pm in Post Office Square.

As we prepare to spend time with our loved ones over the holidays, we are reminded that there is No Christmas in Gaza, and No Christmas in Bethlehem again this year. Indiscriminate Israeli bombings of sovereign Palestine have reduced important cultural sites to rubble.
