I’m wondering if this article from Paul Krugman, The American Way of Economic War, is already outdated, even though it’s just been published. American support for Israel’s genocidal of war against the Palestinians has created a new imbalance in the world.
And it’s not just that the Houthis from Yemen are holding up trade through the Red Sea. The challenge to the $$US is not new, BRICS is already challenging US hegemony in world finance. Take this critique by Ramzy Baroud where he outlines that the US sanctions against Cuba, against Palestine, against Iran, against Yemen is starting to fail because the people who are being sanctioned and now sanctioning United States.
