Palestine: ten weeks that shook Brisbane

For the tenth week in a row, thousands of people came out in support of Palestine in Meanjin, Brisbane. Not only has the media ignored this significant, some would say historic event, but so too have nearly every institution in Queensland. We don’t hear complaints from any of the professional bodies or the universities not the AMA nor Qld Nurses Union, not the solicitors or barristers organisations, nor from the social workers, the psychologists nor the dentists. Not from the engineers. All this while health care professionals are being murdered by Israeli soldiers. However ordinary people have come out and rank-and-file health pet professionals and individual engineers and lawyers have spoken out against the genocide. All this for 10 weeks.
