In response to the Palestinian resistance ongoing campaign against Israeli military occupation, ‘US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that he has ordered the Ford carrier strike group to sail to the Eastern Mediterranean to be ready to assist Israel.’ Through these actions and others, I think Joe Biden has just lost the 2024 presidential race. Under his presidency, the US is now engaged in proxy wars in Ukraine, and in Palestine. Without United States finance, weaponry and logistical support, neither governments in Tel Aviv nor Kiev could exist.

What does Biden think his proxy wars will achieve? The Palestinian resistance are using stones, paragliders, home made rockets, fishing boats … they have the support of the Palestinian population who resist every day by staying alive during brutal occupation.

History tells us that US marines were driven out of Lebanon in 1983. A young lebanese woman detonated a truck bomb at the barracks for the 1st Battalion 8th Marines (Battalion Landing Team – BLT 1/8) of the 2nd Marine Division, killing 220 marines, 18 sailors and three soldiers. In 1982, the US had earlier posted the destroyer USS John Rodgers and nuclear cruiser USS Virginia that conducted a naval bombardment of the town of Suk al Gharb, in the hills overlooking Beirut. Everywhere United States governments go, they leave destruction and death: Vietnam, Chile, Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Ukraine, and Palestine.

Since the resistance launched its attacks on the occupying forces knee jerk reaction from politicians in Australia, Europe, UK, and the US has been Israel has a right to defend itself. This is a lie, Israel gave up this right when the Israeli military illegally occupied Palestine.

The Netanyahu government is entirely dependent on the military support from the United States of America. How can a country like the US so divorced from democratic values seek to influence people so far away, existing in a world governed by occupation.

The Western narrative served up to us nightly by networks and social media emanating from the United States are becoming increasingly at odds with facts on the ground. And to think Biden wants to go to war with China. Surely that is tempting destruction of Empire? Aided by US arms sales and a war economy, the United States is booming. The US Dollar is at an all-time high, hurting both allies (like Australia) and its trading partners in Europe. The Prime Minister of Israel has thrown off his leash and become the attack dog that threatens the lives of people in Palestine and throughout the Middle East. Zelensky too has gone mad to think he could withstand Putin’s determination to remove the existential threat of NATO. That the Australian and UK governments have tagged along with the US government, they do so at their own peril. Especially since the next President may well be the unhinged Donald Trump.
