Songs for Peace

The Anita Reed Peace Concert was held on the 21st May 2023 at the Coorparoo School of Arts Memorial Hall.

There was a great lineup of musicians including the MUNDY-TURNER DUO, the internationally acclaimed singer/songwriters, Songshine Choir, the Voice of Spanish Speaking Women, Peter White (classical guitar), Dermot Dorgan singing his own memorable songs, and the inimitable FRANK and FEARLESS duo – Jenny Fitzgibbon and Lyn Bardsley.

The President of IPAN – Independent and Peaceful Australia Network – Annette Brownlie gave a round-up of Peace events and the important struggles that lie ahead.

Here is a gallery of some of the artists who gave their time and talent to perform to an appreciative audience of about 60 people. Over $900 was raised to cover costs and the surplus went to the UNICEF Syrian Earthquake Appeal.

This concert was a fundraiser for the UNICEF Syrian Earthquake Appeal.

Thanks to Annette Brownlie and Co-Conveners of Just Peace QLD Inc. Mike Henry, Julie Hislop and all the volunteers who put on such a good show in the interests of peace and social justice .
