Yesterday (16 Nov 2022) Greens member for Griffith Max Chandler-Mather agreed to support a petition by Khalil Hamden and the big ride for Palestine to the Prime Minister. We ask the Prime Minister to relax travel restrictions for Palestinians fleeing murders by Israeli occupations forces on the West Bank and the Gaza strip.
The Big Ride for Palestine (Australia) received this message from his office on 16 Nov 2022:
“What’s happening in Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank is part of the ongoing invasion and occupation by Israel of Palestine. The Israeli military – one of the most sophisticated in the world – has murdered over 200 Palestinians including over 50 children.” – This is something we are passionate about and will continue to fight for.
The Big Ride for Palestine (Australia) that began Khalil’s petition after his sister and nephew were attacked and threatened by Israeli soldiers in Nablus has already received hate mail from one of the supporters of Israel:
“Got any petitions about China or Russia, or are you still crusading about the one tiny Jewish state, you poor miserable obsessed sod? There’s a word for people who compulsively zero in on hating “Zionists”. Don’t make my day again, Ian, or I’ll put Mossad’s Dickhead Squad on your trail.”
Does this mean Mossad is coming for Max as well?
As has been said many times before criticism of Israeli policies does not mean people are anti-semites.
Khalil Hamdan told a visitor to his stall at the Milton markets:
“Palestinians are descendants of semites … how can I be anti-semitic? It is the zionists who are anti-semitic because we are Palestinian.
