We have now completed 24,174 kms of our return trip to Cuba. With only a little over two weeks, we have 5,598 kms to go. Can we do it? Please remember to manually add your kms onto your Dashboard page on the web site if you are not using the automatic Strava link.
Here is a lovely video from three students at the Cuban Institute of Foreign Affairs, thanking campaign participants.
In these final weeks friends and campaign supporters have been doing some group activities to rack up the kilometres. On March 19th, campaigners walked 8 kms along the Wynnum foreshore and wetlands boardwalk, talking to people they met along the way about the effects of the US blockade. And last Saturday, March 26th, walkers continued along the Shorncliffe foreshore. Check out the photos here. More photos and videos will be posted shortly on our Facebook page.
There are several events being organised over the next 16 days of the campaign. We hope to see you at some of them. Please note that the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens walk, scheduled for Wednesday 30 March, has been cancelled as more rain is expected.
