Issues relating to unfettered coal and gas mining, corruption and the lack of a fair and unbiased political system in Queensland will be major topics in the upcoming election.
Lock the Gate Alliance has developed a survey with a set of ‘policy asks’ regarding these issues centred around their impacts on Queenslanders’ farming land, clean water, air quality and livelihoods.
We’ve asked all major parties and Independent candidates to complete the survey so the community understands their position on these important matters.
In Brisbane tomorrow, Lock the Gate president, Drew Hutton will officially release the survey with the help of the Queensland Sadies – the all-singing, all-dancing troupe of political “cleaners” – fighting dodgy deals between mining companies and governments.
A few piggies with snouts-in-troughs of money will be there to attract any passing politicians.
We will release the collated results to the media after the survey closes on January 20.
