As there is a clash on the first Wednesday of the month of September with what looks like an excellent meeting of the T J Ryan Foundation, the 17 Group will be cancelling its Wed. 3rd September meeting in favour of this“Perspectives on Accountability” meeting in the Undumbi Room at Parliament House at 6 pm for 6.30 pm. See details below. (Note that there is mention below of an RSVP.) We urge all our faithful associates to attend. Nay more, we adopt it as our very own twin favourite event for the month, along with the Piketty discussion on the 11th of which more later.
Leon Davidovich, with the usual doubtfulness attending his deliberations, has spoken of it with approval as the sort of thing he himself would contemplate attending, though perhaps incognito.
The meeting we had planned for this month, on the effects of the Hockey Budget on the Vocational Education and Training sector (TAFE etc), will now occur instead on Wednesday the 1st of October. Leon has not yet made any comment about this.
