More: Food and Drinks availableBrisbane songwriters Kimbeaux Dawson and Andy Paine will join controversial US artist, David Rovics, in concert this week on the last night of the Australian leg of his “Into a Prism” world tour.
An outspoken advocate for peace and social justice, and a prolific songwriter, David has been writing new songs about contemporary issues while on tour, including a song supporting opposition to the US-led war games- Talisman Saber- that took place in Queensland in late July-August. (Watch: If I had a hammer here:http://peaceconvergence.wordpress.com/2013/08/21/david-rovics-dedicates-a-song-to-graeme-dunstan/ )
The event is a fundraiser for people arrested protesting Talisman Saber, one of the world’s largest military exercises which saw 28,000 US and Aussie troops (19,000 US and 9,000 Aussie) practice land, sea, and air warfare predominantly in the Shoalwater Bay region, just north of Rockhampton. This year, attention was drawn to the war games after the US jettisoned four bombs on the Great Barrier Reef as part of ongoing bombing practice in the region.
Local artist, Andy Paine, who will be performing on the night, was one of five Brisbane locals arrested in peace action during the war games.
As the US considers launching an attack on Syria, We Can Do Change will be both a creative gathering and a timely reminder to us all that peace is what is needed on the planet.

- Welcome to this website
People from all directions.
A note to indigenous people, Workers BushTelegraph may contain recordings, images and songs of people who are deceased.
We address the following questions:
1. Industrial question: The Master/servant relationship. The struggle for Worker Control.
2. Ownership question: Who owns the land? Rights to the city, right to country. The struggle of indigenous people for land rights and social justice in Australia.
3. Political question: This is the class struggle. Who owns the means of production? Who governs? How are democratic rights won and shared.
