Foco Nuevo in July

As we settle into the winter months, be ready to warm yourself with some wonderful music from Marley Soup and Fallen Angels.

Friday July 5
8.00 p.m.

Kurilpa Hall
174 Boundary Street
West End

Marley Soup settles the soul with delectably heart warming raw vocals brewed with the fine spices of folky guitar and romantic lyrics. She pulls together an eclectic collaboration of generous musicians who create a spirit of the simplicity of life, love and winter soups.

Fallen Angels features the exquisite voice of award-winning singer/songwriter Amanda Gilmour. Rose Broe & John Holmberg jump ship from Pirate Brides to add tasteful accordion, mandolin, clawhammer banjo, and a generous icing of great harmony singing. This tight trio delivers an entertaining and emotionally rich set from a diverse repertoire including Amanda’s passionate and cherished originals, folk, swing and bluegrass. [website]

Jumping Fences: The song-writing partnership of Lachlan Hurse and Sue Monk, will be playing their energetic folk, tinged with Cuban flavours. Their original works contain imagery and styles that reveal both an incisive insight into Australian life and a long association with Latin American culture [website]

Hope to see you there,

Lachlan and Sue
