Can you help out on the day? We need:
- Queensland Uncut donations bucket people
- People to hand out leaflets for the next community rally on Sept 22nd
- People to staff the Queensland Uncut stall
- Banner holders and carriers!
If you can do any of these things, please just turn up at the Queensland Uncut table anytime from 11.15am and say hi – we need all the helpers we can get and it will be a good opportunity for more of us to meet eachother!

p.s Apparently QUT has emailed its Gardens Point students advising them to take an alternate route to campus on Wednesday due to a predicted ten thousand people protesting at Parliament – see you all there for what is sure to be the biggest rally against Newman yet!

Thousands of public service workers are expected to turn out across the state today in a series of co-ordinated protests against the Newman government. It will be the latest chapter in a long history of public dissidence in Queensland, as Dan Nancarrow discovered.
