hello Folk,
I’m letting you know about a great coming together of two groups, Kindling and Li Li Kite next Thurs March 1 at the Joynt, 42 Montague rd South Brisbane.
Kindling is a trio of members from Kooii including myself on trumpet and guitar, Conan Griffiths on percussion and guitar and Tom Hinchliffe on bass. With a focus on songs and harmony singing we do a few stripped versions of Kooii songs and other journeys down a similar vein, featuring mine and Conan’s songwriting. Li Li Kite features the singing and songs of Joss Farebrother, a perceptive and soulful artist accompanied by a rhythm section including Shannon Green from Ruby Blue on bass.
The music starts at 8:30pm. We ask $10 for entry or whatever you choose as a donation.
Also, I am playing a solo show (on guitar) next Monday night Feb 27 at the End from 8-9pm. 73 Vulture st, West End.
