Khalil’s Return to Palestine

In February 2011, Khalil is returning to Palestine.

As part of his trip, he is going to visit a refugee camp in Nablus where his family and many of the people from his village, Al Jammasin, fled in 1948.

On his trip Khalil hopes to speak with many people and is also attending a Sabeel conference in Bethlehem.

Khalil has maintained contact with his extended family in Palestine since 1948 and has supported them by working in the west.

He wishes to give financial support to an orphanage in Nablus. It is run by a registered Palestinian NGO. Hence we are organising a fundraiser. The evening will involve a dinner consisting of a Middle eastern plate, speech and performance. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available.

We hope to raise money for a Palestinian orphanage.

The aim is for Justice for Palestine (JFP) supporters to form stronger links with the struggle in Palestine.

We hope to give Khalil some JFP BDS videos to show people on the West Bank what we are trying to do here in Brisbane.

Khalil is taking a video camera with him to record his trip and report back to us.

Pease pass this on to others who may wish to help.

Please RSVP to iancurr@bigpond.com to give us an idea of numbers for catering or by SMS to Ian on 0407 687 016
