Invitation to a Visual Presentation about North Stradbroke Island
By Dr Jan Aldenhoven, Simo
Tuesday 23 November 2010, 7.30pm, at RGSQ

North Stradbroke Island is a wonderful place: beautiful beaches and a wild interior very few have experienced. The Premier has announced 80% of the island will be made national park by 2027 and mining will be phased out.

How can we be sure that the national park will be all that it should be?

How do we prevent mining from damaging more of NSIs natural features?

Dr Jan Aldenhoven from SIMO is presenting a visual tour of the islands treasures and whats at stake for the future.

Find out some simple ways you can contribute. Stradbroke Island Management Organisation, a volunteer conservation group, has been the islands watchdog for more than 30 years, working to protect NSIs natural environment and low-key way of life.

Dr Jan Aldenhoven is a biologist and internationally renowned wildlife filmmaker.
