In August, 2025 the Labor Party united with the Liberal Coalition to overcome cross-bench opposition in the Senate and pass, jointly, a Bill to fund housing for 1,000 US military and their contractors (Boeing, Lockheed Martin, etc MIC contractors) in WA for their AUKUS nuclear Submarine Project.
