What’s on June till Sept ’25

Tuesday 24 June

Join the teachers – State Budget Day Rally
5pm at Speakers’ Corner, Parliament House
Before being elected last year, the Crisafulli government assured Queenslanders it was serious about addressing the teacher shortage crisis in our state.
So serious, in fact, it confirmed that it understood nation leading wages were essential to attracting and retaining great teachers in our state.
Sadly, QTU members are still waiting for the promise of fair salaries to eventuate.
Rally with us and help call on the government to value educators and protect the future of education in Queensland.

Join us for a prestigious blue carpet affair for Brisbane’s premiere screening of Turning the Ship, a Rising Tide film!

Turning the Ship tells the story of the passion and drive of Rising Tide and the extraordinary 2024 People’s Blockade of the World’s Largest Coal Port. The highs, the lows and the triumphs!

Over 150 people from Brisbane joined the 2024 Blockade. We’ll hear from some of them about their experience, and why they’ve signed up to make this year’s Blockade even bigger and better. Come along and connect with our Rising Tide community, celebrate the success of 2024, and look forward to what we can build together in 2025!

RSVP Essential: https://www.risingtide.org.au/film/bris

Wear some blue to match the premiere’s theme! From blue jeans or blue collars to blue mermaids, blue ribbon in your hair, a scarf, sequins or blue ball-gowns. Dress ups are optional, but are a fun invitation if you are keen. The climate crisis could not be more serious, but Rising Tide aims to share joy while we build our movement to fight it.
