Australian actor Hugo Weaving is right. Australian institutions and mainstream media have been cowed into not speaking out about Israel’s genocidal campaign against Palestinians in Gaza.
For the past 6 months, there has been a media blackout on mass demonstrations in Brisbane, which have occurred every second Sunday. Between 1000 and 6000 people have been in attendance at these rallies and marches. Yet the media has not seen fit to cover them or report the concerns of a large section of the community.
