Sovereignty and climate justice: caring for country in cities

Join ICRR and Wirrinyah Conservation Services for a free community planting on Yagara/Jagera Country in Inala. We’ll kick off with some planting at 10am, adding native vegetation around the creek.

During lunch, Lynda Maybanks (Wirrinyah) and Kevin Yow Yeh (ICRR) will yarn caring and connecting with Country in urban areas and how sovereign Black communities are fulfilling cultural responsibilities to land in cities.

This is a free event.
Parking: At the old Inala Hall
Toilets: available in the park. Accessible toilets available.
Wheelchair access is via the ramp near the hall.
Extra kids activities will be provided.
