People are fighting a rear guard action at Deebing Creek. Will no one help them? In the lead up to the Ipswich council elections WBT publishes this story from the first nations people at Deebing Creek written by Karen Coghill, music by DeeKay.

Police came the second day of protecting against destruction (by developers), police didn’t come on property at Binnies Road, the site of the original cricket field & beautiful bushlands, anfd or many creatures.

The first Native Cricket Team came from Deebing Creek with fast bowler Eddie Gilbert and others, many well-known sports giants came from here also Robert Anderson was an athlete breaking many records. Ron Richards the famous boxer, Harold Blair the opera singer had strong ties to Deebing Creek Mission too, just to name a few. – Save Deebing Creek.

We (Sovereign people) are still requesting a Public Enquiry this is a public interest issue.

Karen Goorie – part 3

The truth is the sale of Deebing Creek was fraudulent & corrupt. Nine thousand 9000 people were recorded and came through Deebing Creek (when it was a mission and a reserve).

Many descendants are uninformed (about what Ipswich council, developers and state government have done).
