Interesting … A report submitted to the CMC, CCC or whatever they called themselves in March 2014, saw Peter Carne leave the position as head of the Public trustee office the next day.
Nothing further had been heard about this.
BUT why is Peter Carne now back as the public trustee.
Mark Crofton was always ACTING public trustee …
Why?

Two men ordered back to QLD to face fraud charges – 3 May 2016
A former Queensland public servant and a director of a Sydney-based construction company are facing fraud charges following a corruption investigation by the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC).
The CCC will allege the former employee of The Public Trustee of Queensland used his position to dishonestly obtain $42,000. The CCC will further allege the payments were made by the director of a construction company after he received favourable treatment by the former employee of The Public Trustee.
The Public Trustee notified the CCC in July 2015 of allegations of corrupt conduct and has fully assisted the CCC with its investigation. It is important to note that the CCC will not allege any money misappropriated were funds held by The Public Trustee on behalf of their clients.
The former public servant, a 53-year-old Perth man, was arrested by Western Australia Police on behalf of the CCC on Tuesday 5 April 2016. He appeared in a Perth court on 6 April 2016 and was extradited to Queensland. He appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 8 April 2016 to face one count of fraud and one count of uttering a forged document. He is expected to reappear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on 9 May 2016.
On 29 April 2016, a 43-year-old Sydney man was arrested by New South Wales Police on behalf of the CCC. He was charged with one count of fraud. He was bailed on the condition he appears in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today 3 May 2016.
The CCC’s investigation remains ongoing. As this matter is now before the court, the CCC is unable to comment further.
