Terrible sadness at the MITA tonight

Terrible sadness at the MITA tonight. A stateless Rohingya family with three children are to be sent back to Christmas Island tomorrow morning.
> The children have just started school in Melbourne- no school on Christmas for camp kids. >
> Today a very sad day as they were reunited with their teenage son after two years separation, only to have to say goodbye as he was sent back to Brisbane and they go tomorrow to Christmas and then probably Nauru. >
> This family fled persecution Burma and Bangladesh and have never known safety or freedom. As stateless people they can not be sent back to anywhere.
> In desperation and through tears the mother said -send my husband and me and leave my children here in the camp so they can go to school in Melbourne. >
