Israeli Apartheid Week

A record 74 cities across the world are conducting Israeli Apartheid Week activities including four cities from Australia.

Check out the range of activities at http://apartheidweek.org/

It would also be great if as many people as possible can help promote the broad range of events in Brisbane. (See the list of activities on the IAW site).

The regular JFP meeting is on this Wednesday at the QCU building at 6pm.

As you can see from the site we are now linked into the global Palestine solidarity network and global BDS campaign.

These events provide a great opportunity to reach out to people and help mobilise their support for the struggle for justice and freedom in Palestine.

  2. Film: Return to Gaza says:

    Thursday March 31

ONE PLANET FILMS PRESENTS IN ASSOCIATION WITH DENOUX FILM PRODUCTIONS

    A Michael Weatherhead documentary

    Return to Gaza

Return to Gaza provides deep personal insight from Fetah Sabawi, a Palestinian-Australian who travelled to Gaza in the hopes of founding a music school for refugees just prior to the ill-fated Palestinian elections in 2006. The film provides a revealing insight into the daily lives of Palestinians amongst the huge walls, check-points and constant military presence.

This screening will feature a discussion with director, Michael Weatherhead and Samah Sabawi – Australian-Palestinian writer, co-author of Journey to Peace in Palestine and a former executive director of the National Council on Canada Arab Relations.
