The Coat Hanger Project is a documentary about abortion and the current state of the reproductive rights movement in the US. Abortion was legalised in 1973 in the landmark Roe vs. Wade case.   1. In one month a young Cairns woman and her partner will face trial under Queensland’s anti-abortion laws. If the charges are upheld, she faces the prospect of seven years prison. Her partner faces the prospect of three years prison.
