Jonno Sri’s campaign for the Gabba

This Saturday arvo from 4pm, we’re holding a campaign intro session at Turnstyle (10 Laura St, Highgate Hill), where we talk about our goals for the coming council election campaign and explain how you can get involved. We’ll also unpack some of the issues we want to focus on in the campaign, and share a community meal so everyone can get to know each other.

Where: Turnstyle Community Hub, 10 Laura St, Highgate Hill

When: 4pm to 6pm, followed by a community meal.

If you think you can come, please RSVP via this link.

Unfortunately the space is not 100% wheelchair accessible, so if you haven’t been to Turnstyle before and have concerns about access, please get in touch.

If you have the time and energy to bring along some food to share as part of the potluck meal, please let us know via email. Fingerfood/snacks are also very welcome!

This campaign, we’re not just trying to defend a seat. We’re trying to grow the Greens vote significantly and build broader public support for the specific kinds of changes we want to see happen around Brissie’s inner-south side.

When we reach people in suburbs like West End, Kangaroo Point and Woolloongabba, we don’t just want to convince them to vote Green. We want to get them excited about a different vision for our city, where decisions are made democratically by local residents, where housing is well-designed and affordable for everyone, where green space and community facilities meet our changing needs, and where we prioritise active and public transport ahead of cars.

If you’re unable to make it this weekend but you’re interested in getting involved over the next few months, you can also sign up here.Get InvolvedDonate
