Brisbane Aboriginal rights campaigners are calling for a Royal Commission into Police across the country following another incident of unnecessary aggressive behavior which shocked and upset many.
A video of the incident captured by a family member and shared on Facebook has been viewed 629,000 times, with more than 11,000 shares.
Veteran rights campaigner Sam Watson says the family in the house had done nothing wrong or broken any law which required police attention.. and it now appears the young Aboriginal man arrested suffered a broken arm.
The Queensland Police Union (QPU) has defended the officer who repeatedly pushed the woman eventually knocking her to the floor…. with the QPU president Ian Leavers telling media the officer’s response was justified given the situation.
Mr Watson disagrees !
