Combined Unions Choir:Formed in 1988, the Combined Unions Choir is the longest ‘Art in Working Life’ project in Australia. They have sung at concerts, protests, May Day, and peace rallies; entertaining people with their repertoire of political, peace and social justice songs. ‘A movement that sings never dies…’ [website] Sue Wighton and Rebecca Wright are two of Brisbane’s most engaging folk performers. Both Sue and Bec love to share stories to warm the heart and lift the spirit. And when they blend their voices and instruments, something rather lovely happens. [website] Something To Sing About: A world network of choirs of cancer survivors & supporters. They practice every Wednesday from 1.00pm until 3.00pm at the Senior Citizens Centre Hall ,1 Barramul Street, Bulimba, Brisbane. [website] Jumping Fences: bring to this May Day concert their songs that are born out of the lives of working people and their struggles. [website] Hope to see you next Friday,
Lachlan and Sue
