Activists cc all their emails to ‘Curious George’ Brandis

VLADIMIR: We're waiting for Godot.
ESTRAGON:(despairingly). Ah! (Pause.) You're sure it was here?
                                                    Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot

[Publishers Note: A savvy media campaign from Beyond Green?   The Australian taxpayer kindly bought attorney-general George Brandis a copy of the Samuel Beckett’s play Waiting for Godot for the bookshelf of his Canberra office. So why email Curious George who may be gone by the end of the week?  Along with Australia’s first Prime Minister of Arab descent, Tannous Abbout. Who will Beyond Green focus on next? Mark the Narc Dreyfuss or Bad Mal Turn-Bullshit?]

The supporters of activist group Beyond Green are pledging to cc all their emails to George Brandis’ parliamentary email address. The pledge is the first stage of the ‘Curious George’ campaign, launched this weekend to help Brandis monitor the communications and movements of ordinary Australians.
Spokesperson Ben Pennings said:

“We know George Brandis is very curious. But 400 million dollars is a lot of money to spend on monitoring our everyday internet and phone use. Taxpayers can save a heap of money by just cc’ing all their email to ‘Curious George’. All he has to monitor then is social media, internet browsing, texts and phone calls. I reckon I might get a knighthood for this!”

  1. Going down with sinking ship ... says:

[From THE AUSTRALIAN 2 Mar 2015]
TONY Abbott is resisting calls to sack his attorney-general after the Senate censured George Brandis over his treatment of the nation’s human rights chief.

Most non-government senators supported a Labor move to condemn Senator Brandis for failing to defend Australian Human Rights Commission president Gillian Triggs from “malicious attacks” and seeking her resignation.

Labor immediately called on the prime minister to demand the Senator Brandis’ resignation, while the Australian Greens want him sacked.
