Supporting Earth Friendly Organisations:
“Law and Governance Clinic” – 1 Day Workshop, Brisbane, 4 July
Building sustainable communities by supporting Earth friendly organisations
Our local communities are full of amazing individuals and organisations who work hard to support people and planet. AELA is pleased to introduce a new workshop series in Brisbane and South East Queensland, aimed at strengthening Earth friendly organisations, by helping them connect with legal, governance and other expertise. Our first workshop is designed to be an interactive day, focusing on the legal and governance issues that are critical to running great organisations and achieving our goals. We’ll also be aiming to build new conversations and networks about the sharing economy.
Whether you’re thinking of starting up your own organization or project, or have been running a community organization or social enterprise for decades, please join us for a relaxed, fun and informative day. We have a range of great speakers, including legal experts from QPILCH, Caxton Legal Centre, the EDO Qld and several private law firms. We’ll also have roundtable and open space discussions.
This event is part of an ongoing series of workshops and peer-support events hosted by AELA and partners in Brisbane/SEQ in 2014 and 2015.
