3 Miles from Texas

Jumping Fences

Emperor Nelson is comprised of two band members, James Forde and Erin Miller. James’ musical journey has taken him far and wide in the UK, Canada and Australia. For 15 years, he has been strumming, plucking a

nd yodelling in bands and as a solo performer, supporting acts such as The Bluetones and Little Man Tate along the way. Erin’s similarly eclectic musical journey has spanned well over a decade, taking her from her San Francisco homeland to Brisbane. They joined forces earlier this year and, now residing in Brisbane, this terrorsome twosome blend folk-harmonies and guitar with indie melodies. So come along to our show and put your feet up to some good-time acoustic-ness [website].

3 Miles from Texas: In 2011, Brisbane act ‘Little Secrets’ decided on a name change before releasing their new self-titled recording in 2012.

Original members, Michael Tully, Rob Stewart and Tony Mockeridge asked their friend and major contributor to their CD, Rose Broe, if she would join as a permanent member. Due to a momentary lapse of reason, Rose agreed. Her multi instrumental and vocal talents have added another dimension to the performances, much to the delight of band and audience.

3 Miles From Texas play all original material taken from their three group recordings on the Fruitbat Records label. They are committed to making every show the best it can be, and always show up on time. Between the punctuality and dynamics you just might think, ‘I’m glad I showed up’ [website].

Jumping Fences: The song-writing partnership of Lachlan Hurse and Sue Monk, will be playing their energetic folk, tinged with Cuban flavours. Their original works contain imagery and styles that reveal both an incisive insight into Australian life and a long association with Latin American culture [website].

Once again a reminder for those who would like to listen to, or download our new album ‘The Quiet of The Winter Moon’ check out our Bandcamp site!
